This week’s UK chart sees Mario Kart World reclaim the No.1 spot from Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. All data supplied by NielsenIQ/GfK Entertainment. Star Wars Outlaws also returns at No.7 thanks to the debut of the amazing Switch 2 version, whilst Cronos: New Dawn is new at No.4 with PS5 being the strongest seller over the week. Nacon’s new release, Hell is Us lands at No.6, whilst there are boosts for legacy games like Minecraft and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, which are up from No.13-No.8 and the ever-present racer going from No.15-No.9.
Last week’s Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar clings on at No.34 (thundering down from No.9’s debut position) mainly thanks to the Switch 2 version (which takes a 62% share and only slides three on that system’s chart to No.7), whilst NBA 2K26 slams home at No.14, with PS5 taking home a 79% share and the Switch 2 iteration only grabbing 4% (landing itself in 20th position on the Switch 2-only listings).
The big winners on Switch 2 this week are Star Wars Outlaws arriving at No.3, just behind the 1-2 punch of Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza, Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition zooming upwards eight spots to No.4, and Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion new in at No.5. Kirby and the Forgotten Land – Star-Crossed World sadly continues the series’ regular underperformance in the UK, slipping three in its second week to No.6 (from No.7-No.21 on the main Top 40), and new in at No.10 is Bloober Team’s Cronos: The New Dawn. With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at No.9 on the Switch 2 list, and charting on the main Top 40 at No.30 this week, there’s a possibility that even though there was only an 8% share on Switch 2, it could have entered the chart on its own merit.
Bubbling just outside of the Top 40 are Street Fighter 6: Years 1-2 Fighters Edition and Split Fiction (No.11 and No.13 on the Switch 2 chart, respectively). Unfortunately, for Take 2, after the disappointing Switch 2 sales of Civilization VII and WWE 2K26, which have both now left the Top 20, NBA 2K26 is the next victim, only debuting at No.20, just below heavy tumblers in the form of Sonic X Shadow Generations and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 (the former down No.7-No.19 and the latter No.5-No.18).
