Maono on Audio Innovation, Hybrid Design and What’s Coming Next

Maono has quickly become one of the most recognisable names in creator audio, thanks to a focus on practical design and tools that lower the barrier to professional‑quality sound. With the market more competitive than ever, Cubed3 sat down with the team to explore the philosophy behind Maono’s rise, how “hybrid” design is shaping its next generation of products, and why creator feedback remains central to the brand’s evolution.

Adam Riley, Director at Cubed3: Maono has built a strong reputation in the creator‑audio space. What core philosophy guides the brand’s approach to sound quality and accessibility?

Team Maono: At Maono, our core philosophy is to make high-quality audio more accessible to creators at every level. We focus on delivering professional-level sound in a way that feels intuitive and easy to use, so users can get great results without needing a complex setup.

Adam Riley: The microphone and streaming‑audio market is more competitive than ever. How does Maono differentiate itself from other creator‑focused audio brands?

Team Maono: Rather than trying to cover every possible use case with a single device, we focus on deeply understanding specific creator scenarios and the real challenges within them. Whether it’s live-streaming, podcasting, recording, or content creation, each scenario comes with its own workflow and pain points. Our approach is to design products that solve those specific needs in a focused and practical way – making the experience smoother, more efficient, and more aligned with how creators actually work.

Adam Riley: Which Maono products are currently your best‑sellers, and what do you think makes them resonate so strongly with creators?

Team Maono: Our hybrid microphones are among our best-performing products. We define “hybrid” as the integration of wired (USB/XLR) and wireless (2.4G) technologies within a single device. For creators, “hybrid” means true creative freedom. It removes the limitations of cables, reduces the need for complex setups or post-production fixes, and allows users to adapt more easily as their workflow evolves. This flexibility is a key reason why these products resonate so strongly with modern creators.

Adam Riley: Software and DSP features like noise reduction, EQ, and mixing are becoming increasingly important. How central is software to Maono’s overall ecosystem?

Team Maono: For us, these two areas go hand in hand. We approach this from both hardware and software perspectives. On the hardware side, we focus on intuitive, plug-and-play design so that beginners can get started quickly without a complicated setup. On the software side, we’ve developed our own applications to enable more refined control, including features like EQ, noise reduction, and audio customisation. This allows more experienced users to fine-tune their sound in greater detail. We see it as a key part of enhancing the overall user experience alongside hardware. By combining ease of use with deeper levels of control, we aim to create products that can adapt to users as their needs and experience grow.

Adam Riley: What role does community and creator feedback play in shaping new Maono products, and can you share an example where it directly influenced a design decision?

Team Maono: Creator feedback plays an important role in how we develop our products. We involve creators earlier in the process; for example, through pre-release testing and feedback rounds before a product officially launches.  We also actively engage with our community through dedicated channels where users can share feedback, ideas, and real-world usage experiences.

Adam Riley: Are there any new microphones, audio interfaces, or product categories planned for 2026 that you can tell us about?

Team Maono: We are continuing to expand our ecosystem with a focus on better integration and more complete creator solutions. We’ll be introducing audio interface solutions in the near future as part of that direction.

Adam Riley: How does Maono approach competing with higher‑end professional audio brands while still remaining accessible to newcomers?

Team Maono: Our approach is to focus on practical performance and accessibility. Rather than replicating traditional high-end studio complexity, we aim to deliver the features that creators actually need in a more streamlined and user-friendly way.

Adam Riley: Maono showcased new products and technologies at CES 2026. How did that event help communicate your direction for the year ahead, and what does it reveal about where the Maono line-up is heading next?

Team Maono: CES 2026 was an important moment for us to communicate our evolving vision. One of the key themes we highlighted was the concept of “hybrid” – not just in terms of connectivity, but as a broader approach to flexibility and creator freedom. It reflects our focus on breaking down traditional limitations in audio workflows and building products that better match how modern creators create across different platforms and environments.

Adam Riley: If you had to recommend one Maono product that best represents the brand’s vision today, which would it be and why?

Team Maono:  We would point to the PD200W Hybrid Microphone as a strong representation of where Maono is today. It reflects our focus on flexibility, combining multiple connectivity options into one device, while maintaining solid audio performance and ease of use for creators.

Cubed3 Summary

Maono’s vision for 2026 is clear: creator audio should be flexible, intuitive and shaped by real‑world workflows rather than studio tradition. Speaking with the team highlights a brand intent on refining the essentials rather than overwhelming users with complexity, and the push toward hybrid design suggests a future where creators can adapt their setup without compromise. If Maono continues on this path, its ecosystem looks set to become one of the most accessible and creator‑focused in the industry.
