A Brand New Day, a brand-new phone stand based one of the most popular franchises, Spider-Man. With the number of options out there, it’s important to stand out and Cable Guys have led the way in producing high quality reproductions of your favourite characters with their own unique twist.
Riding on the back of the latest movie and the (not as good as the original) Spider-Man 2, which focused heavily on the regurgitated symbiote saga, this newest stand brings arguably the best Peter Parker costume to life. Features have been exaggerated, as they usually are, with an enhanced body shape that still remains faithful enough to be instantly recognisable. With hands outstretched, Spidey is ready to grab whatever peripheral you deem fit. After an intense testing session, the symbiote-enhanced webhead holds PlayStation 5, XBOX and a variety of phones with ease, perfectly cradling them with no risk of accidental damage.
The aesthetic is certainly a choice but if the look is something that appeals, then the execution is done very well. A worry with these types of branded accessories is that these could be knocked out in their thousands with no concern about quality control. Cable Guys has no such issues. Under scrutiny, there doesn’t seem to be any issues with build quality or the most common issue with similar products; paint application. With such a stark contrast of black and white this would be a really obvious issue however; all paint is firmly within the lines and looks great. Something that needed to be done right with such an iconic Spider-Man costume.
The Cable Guys Symbiote Spider-Man Controller Stand bridges the gap between both gamers and consumers who may not game themselves but have family that do. It also covers phone users looking for some way to settle comfortably into a few hours of scrolling through the latest hip hop, TikTok trends without their wrists getting limp. With Christmas just around the corner, this will also be the perfect stocking filler or hint to the grandparents who are out of ideas on what will put a smile on little Eddie Brock’s face when he opens his presents on the 25th.
