Hotel Dusk, Another Code Developer Files for Bankruptcy on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Hotel Dusk and Another Code/Trace Memory developer Cing has filed for bankruptcy after bring over 200 million Yen in debt, according to Kotaku.

The studio has been going for over 10 years, producing a slew of titles for Nintendo's DS, mobile platforms, a pair for the Wii and a PS2 game.

Their most successful efforts included popular DS mystery Hotel Dusk and its sequel Last Window, and related series Another Code for DS and Wii. Cing also helped produce niche Wii game Little King's Story and crafted a pair of Monster Rancher portable editions with Tecmo on the DS.

It's uncertain what will become of Cing, and whether or not another publisher or studio will help their financial issue. The future of a localised Last Window is also unknown, but with a trademark emerging in Europe recently there is still hope.
