That's huge bomb they dropped and just months away from the release of next-gen. That's no coincidence no doubt! Seriously Microsoft needed this though, they need exclusives and this should definitely do the trick!

I very much doubt that Microsoft would allow the next few Elder Scrolls and the like to be on PS5. Don't count on it. In fact, even in the recent interview of id software made by Digital Foundry, I found it fishy that the guy talked ONLY about Microsoft Series S and X and barely mentioned PS5 at all in talks about next-gen. These guys knew already. I don't think you'll see a new Doom on PS5 anytime soon, and for Microsoft, this kind of console exclusivity should be way too important to just let those games happen on their direct competitor's platform.

It's a tough one to call regarding making new Bethesda games xbox exclusive, seeing as how Microsoft are benefiting from sales of their Switch games. Guess it depends if potential full exclusivity would offset the lost revenue of what would've been a multiformat release like Elder Scrolls VI.
