XIII (GameCube) Reader Review

When I was thirteen I was watching porn.

Okay, thirteen sports a unique cel-shaded style as you can see. The game flows smoothly and I don't see anything I have to whine about. The audio is okay, but it's annoying hearing the loading sound over and over... David Ducoughknee sounds drunk also. Yea, he's the guy that was in X-files. Sound effects and music themes don't really stand out too much, though voice overs are better than text.

Uh, let's see, plot is interesting. You wake with a tattoo and you see a babe. Unforunately, she's married and you got some bald guys chasing you. Sounds poor, but the characters are unique enough to make the memorable.

Gameplay is going through the level in the manner of shooting, climbing or stealthling (cool werd). The AI is surprisingly smart and will kill you fast. Even easy bots in multiplayer mode were challenging.

Multiplayer can have up to 8 players/bots total and there is a handful of weapons and maps to choose from. It's nothing I've seen from other FPS games...

Go check XIII out, it's only $9 you cheap bum. Looks and sounds okay, has a great plot and gameplay is familiar.
