Boulies has already impressed the Cubed3 team with its wide variety of office and gaming-based furniture – from some of the most comfortable office style chairs to the ultimate in gaming comfort, and even options for those in need of more than just a chair in their environment of choice. Now, the UK-based business has launched its latest ergonomic office chair for the world to see, with the Boulies OP300, and Cubed3’s Cassey was on-hand (on-bottom??) to try out the new seating alternative to test how comfortable and flexible it really is.
For this latest release, it was the black, padded-cushion edition of the Boulies OP300 ergonomic office chair being put to the test (there’s also a mesh iteration). This chair is said to provide ergonomic support and comfort for every workspace, combining functionality, comfort, and durability all in one fantastic package, and coming in at under the £300 mark for those on a tight budget. It all sounds very promising, right? Well, given the amount of five-star ratings the company has received in general, it wouldn’t come as a big surprise to think this chair is indeed going to be good…and it is! Comfortable, adjustable, flexible, durable, reliable – and also more-than-able to be used in a variety of situations, from office work to gaming and maybe even napping!

In the very hefty box that arrives, there is a whole host of goodies to pull out and start piecing together, including an adjustable headrest, as well as two adjustable armrests that have extremely useful height, depth, and pivot adjustment features. There are also five nylon casters – specialist wheels that are smooth enough for use even on carpets, again adding to the overall flexibility of the OP300 in terms of where it can be used. Just remember to not have too much fun and crash into the wall! Not advisable, but can definitely happen if playing around too much…!
Of course, it also comes with a seat cushion that is designed to provide long-lasting support and help with sitting posture thanks to its built-in multi-tilt mechanism. This special Boulies multi-tilt mechanism has been engineered to get people into the most comfortable, and ergonomic, position possible, and is built to last for the long haul. There is also a heavy-duty wheelbase that’s made with premium plastic and is extreme in stability and strength. It also comes with a height-adjustable backrest, so it doesn’t matter if you’re tall, short, or not, it’s for everyone! You also get a pack of screws and a heavy duty gas lift, plus the instruction manual to help put this beast of a chair together! Just to note, do not forget to check the instruction manual on what screws to use as there are three different sizes.
To check out how simple the OP300 is to put together, check out the unboxing and assembly video below:
Do be aware that the parts are really heavy due to their sturdiness and durability, so be careful when you attaching everything together. Either get someone to help you or rest certain parts on the wall, when needed. Especially when putting the seat cushion on top towards the end of the process. Make sure you ask someone for help as this is heavy! Everything is actually super easy to assemble, though, even down to the wheels that just require a push until you kind of feel a click that gets them in securely. The final part of the construction efforts is to attach the headrest onto the back rest with the remaining screws. It’s actually quite enjoyable putting the OP300 together! Rather like solving an intriguing puzzle, with great satisfaction at the end.
The headrest, by the way, is multi-directional and fully adjustable, designed to reduce strain and enhance comfort. It gives you the ultimate support for your neck and head. Just push the button to pull it up and you can adjust through the knob. Again, the armrests are also adjustable; just pull them up or down and change their angles as desired (they can even be detached for those that prefer more freedom!). Equally, if you prefer to lean back in the chair, pull the lever down and it will lock in a reclined position (between 85°-113°). It’s such a comfortable chair all-round, really offers great lower back support and reduces strain thanks to aligning to the spine’s natural curvature. The back rest is even padded mesh, which has a breathable structure to help prevent heat build-up, keeping you cool and comfortable during long sessions. The back uses Boulies’ specialised sewing technique, which incorporates extra comfort, optimal airflow, and a supportive yet plush seating experience all-round.
