When it comes to quality customisable stress free keyboards only one name comes to mind… Epomaker. From budget boards to premium high quality customisable keyboards at an affordable price, you can’t go wrong!
On the desk mat today is the Epomaker HE75 V2, a 75% layout keyboard that hits impressive marks for both performance and versatility. While a few keycap choices lean heavier toward gaming than intensive typing, this particular keeb is a solid overall performer. In fact, it pleasantly surprised the team during typing speed tests, netting a noticeable score boost over similar keyboards thanks to its smooth feel and rapid response.

Connectivity & Build
The HE75 features the now standard Tri-Mode Wireless setup. Seamlessly switches between 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, and a solid USB-C wired connection. It works flawlessly even when hooked up to a TV setup. There’s a nice touch having the 2.4GHz dongle being tucked under one of the dual height feet, too.

Build & Weight
Featuring a satisfying, premium weight, the keyboard is firmly anchored to your desk, adding to the always high quality of Epomaker products. The keyboard is also cushioned with a gasket mount right out of the box, for an extra premium feel. On another note the dual height rubber feet feel nice and sturdy, not like they’ll flip back up during a intense gaming session!

Accessories and Setup
Epomaker HE75 V2 comes well-equipped out of the box with a sturdy braided cable, a reliable wireless dongle, and four spare hot-swappable switches. Also included is an easy to setup software to allow customizability and key combinations, plus a handy option to swap between Mac and Windows mode.
Switches & Sound Profile
HE75 V2 boasts hall effect performance, coming prebuilt with magnetic Hall Effect switches that deliver exceptional tactile feedback and smooth keystrokes. Note: These keys are MX stem style so will work with most replacement keycaps that use an MX stem. Highly tuned out of the box, the default keys produce a deep, clean “creamy” sound profile without requiring immediate aftermarket modding.
The unit also includes vibrantly bright lighting with customizable effects, oriented south-facing RGB to ensure broad compatibility with custom Cherry-profile keycaps without interference.

Layout & Typist Ergonomics
The HE75 V2 comes in a 75% form factor, it’s a compact footprint that keeps essential keys while saving valuable desk space. There are, however, some key placement drawbacks because of this. The right-hand column favors Page Up over essential navigation keys like Home and End. Dedicated typists may prefer remapping these keys or swapping out the top-right module – replacing the volume knob with dedicated Insert/Print Screen module inserts, or moving Home and End to that corner.
For those who love shortcut-heavy workflows, there’s also a bottom row quirk: dual ALT keys at the expense of a second right-hand CTRL key, which takes some getting used to for shortcut-heavy workflows.

Beyond the standard keys, the HE75 V2 also includes a pleasing, tactile volume knob, but the initial movement is quite stiff. The smooth surface makes it a bit slippery, meaning a knurled texture would significantly improve grip. The keyboard also has excellent customization options allow you to swap switches or tweak key maps effortlessly.
Side note: The HE75 V2 will only work with Hall Effect switches, so if you intend to mod this be aware you can’t use 2 pin or 5 pin switches only Hall Effect ones!
