The Nintendo Switch 2 is rather big. With a 7.9-inch screen and taller Joy-Con, the Switch 2 is one of the largest handheld consoles to date.
Despite the size bump, the system still leans into its handheld capabilities well. Switch 2 owners can simply switch on and start playing anywhere with not too much weight to bog down the experience. On a train, on a plane, sitting comfortably on the toilet – the gaming world is your digital oyster.

For longer gaming sessions when playing handheld, comfort can be key. Those wrists have likely already been battered by years of heated multiplayer. This is where wrapped cases come into play – offering both additional protection and grip and comfort features to enhance the experience. The Battle Armor Protective Case for Nintendo Switch 2 from Jsaux aims to do just that. Just how well does this case hold up?
Out of the box, this model is rugged. It comes in black, with a transparent panel in the back, it’s forged from a flexible, thick and soft MPU material. There’s enough give for the Switch 2 console to neatly slip inside, and a firm hold on the edges to grip onto the top and sides of the unit. What’s most impressive is how snug it sits – a tough outer skin. Yet, there is enough give to gently pry it off when not needed.

The prying will be something you may need to do often, though, if the console will be regularly docked – it’s just fractionally too big to properly slide into the official dock’s slim cradle. Jsaux are aiming to launch a dock adapter stand, however, which does support thicker cases, making it a potential longer-term solution.
The Battle Armor Protective Case also includes textured grips for each Joy-Con, allowing fingers to sit neatly along the back – taking some of the pressure off for those longer sessions. There’s also several cutouts for game carts, USB ports, audio and ventilation. These generally work, though the 3.5″ headphone jack and cartridge slot are a bit tight.

One of the drawbacks, however, are the exposed shoulder buttons. Instead of wrapping along the top like some other cases, there’s a cutout for the top of the Joy-Con to stick out. It’s not the biggest concern, since the trade-off is easier access to both button sets, but a little extra protection wouldn’t go amiss! Jsaux does have alternative case options that do accommodate the shoulder buttons in a better-protected way.
HD Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Switch 2
The case does well to protect the majority of the back and sides of the Switch 2, but arguably the most important aspect is the vibrant 7.9-inch screen that sits proudly on the front. The HD Tempered Glass Screen from Jsaux complements the Battle Armor Protective Case by offering an additional matte layer above the screen.
The challenge when it comes to a lot of screen protectors is usually the application stage. With the Jsaux screen protector, it’s simple to slot into place, thanks to the plastic bracket that sits above the Switch 2 tablet and – with a few nudges to clear inevitable bubbles – it lines up perfectly.
