Anker Soundcore Life P3 Noise Cancelling Earbuds

Anker Soundcore Life P3 Noise Cancelling Earbuds Review

by Adam Riley 20 November 2025 0

When the Anker Soundcore Life P3 of earbuds was unveiled back in June 2021, it wasn’t just another set of earphones, it was a lifestyle statement. Offered in five vibrant colours (Black, Navy Blue, Oat White, Sky Blue, Coral Red), the Life P3 combines compact form with playful personality. The case is pocket‑friendly, the finish smooth, and the overall aesthetic youthful yet practical.

Audio Character, Long-Lasting, and BassUp Boost

Inside each bud sits an 11mm driver tuned for impact. With BassUp technology, low frequencies are dynamically enhanced, giving pop and dance tracks extra punch. Mids remain clear enough for podcasts and vocals, while treble is present but not razor‑sharp. The Soundcore app unlocks 22 EQ presets plus custom tuning, letting listeners sculpt the sound to their taste. Whether you want booming bass for workouts or a flatter profile for acoustic sessions, the flexibility is there. Rather than a one‑size‑fits‑all approach, the Life P3 offers multi‑mode ANC:

– Transport mode dampens the low rumble of buses, trains, and planes;
– Outdoor mode reduces street noise and traffic;
– Indoor mode targets voices and chatter in cafés or offices.

This tailored system makes ANC more versatile than many rivals at the same price. Transparency mode is equally adaptable, with a voice‑focused option that keeps conversations natural without removing the earbuds. Battery life is respectable: seven hours per charge (35 with case) without ANC, or six hours per charge (30 with case) with ANC active. Fast-charging delivers two hours of playback from a ten‑minute top‑up, ensuring you’re never left stranded. The case supports both USB‑C and wireless charging, adding convenience. While endurance is shorter than newer Soundcore models, it remains competitive for mid‑range earbuds.

Everyday Extras That Stand Out

The Life P3 isn’t just about sound, as it’s also packed with lifestyle features:

– Gaming mode sharpens positional audio for footsteps and effects;
– Sleeping mode plays white noise to aid rest;
– Find My Earbuds emits a high‑pitched tone to locate misplaced buds;
– Tip fit test ensures a proper seal for optimal ANC.

These additions make the Life P3 more versatile than many rivals, blending entertainment, utility, and convenience.

Communication, Comfort and Long-Lasting

Six microphones with AI noise reduction aim to deliver clear calls. Voices are intelligible, although not as rich as premium competitors. Wind noise can intrude outdoors, but for casual calls the performance is reliable. This places the Life P3 firmly in the “good enough” category for communication: fine for everyday use, but not a professional tool. At just under 5g (0.17oz) per earbud, the Life P3 is lightweight and comfortable. Five sets of silicone tips (XS–XL) ensure a secure fit across ear shapes. The IPX5 rating protects against sweat and rain, making them suitable for workouts and outdoor use. The case measures 2.4 × 2.08 × 1.22-inches, compact enough for pockets or bags. The design balances portability with durability, yet the glossy finish can pick up smudges.

At £79.99 / €79.99 / $79.99, the Life P3 competes with mid‑range earbuds like the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 and Sony WF‑C500. Samsung’s model integrates tightly with Galaxy devices but offers shorter endurance. Sony’s earbuds deliver clearer mids but lack ANC. The Life P3’s combination of multi‑mode ANC, wireless charging, gaming and sleeping modes, and colourful design is rare at this price, giving it a strong edge for lifestyle‑focused buyers. Compared to Soundcore’s later Space A40 and Liberty 4 NC, the Life P3 is less refined in ANC and codec support (Bluetooth 5.0, no LDAC), yet it remains one of the most versatile lifestyle earbuds in Soundcore’s line-up, balancing fun and function.

Unfortunately, it does lack several key features, such as coming with no LDAC support, limiting high‑resolution playback, plus ANC is weaker than newer Soundcore models. The microphone quality is sorely average compared to premium rivals, touch controls are fiddly and can misregister, plus even though it’s decent enough, battery life is actually shorter than newer models. These compromises are expected at the price, but they are worth noting for buyers seeking cutting‑edge performance.

The Soundcore Life P3 delivers multi‑mode ANC, BassUp audio, wireless charging, and lifestyle extras at a mid‑range price. It is ideal for commuters, students, and casual listeners seeking colourful, versatile earbuds without paying flagship prices.
Drawbacks include average microphones, weaker ANC compared to newer models, and no LDAC support, though, yet these are balanced by strengths in design, app integration, and everyday utility.

Cubed3 Summary

The Anker Soundcore Life P3 isn’t chasing studio precision or flagship polish. Instead, it’s built to be fun, flexible, and approachable. Multi‑mode ANC, BassUp audio, wireless charging, and playful extras like gaming and sleeping modes make it a lively companion for everyday life. It does have its limits: microphones that are fine but not flawless, ANC that’s competent rather than class‑leading, and no support for high‑resolution codecs. Those compromises don’t overshadow the appeal, though. For under £80, the Life P3 still feels like one of the most versatile lifestyle earbuds in its class, as it's colourful, capable, and confident in its identity.
