Discuss The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 3DS), news, the latest pictures and videos!

Yeah, Luigi's Mansion 2 is early 2012. I think it was planned for holiday 2011 but got pushed back a little. Very excited for it! Smilie Rented the original from a neighbour and loved it so much that I didn't give it back unless he directly asked me and guess what..he never did! Smilie

It's amazing that I've never even heard of that soldier scene, let alone saw it myself. I didn't go into that alley very often so no wonder I missed it in the moment I'm always thinking "MUST GET MASTER SWORD NAO!!!" Smilie

I found it wondering why people were still acting normally, and trying to get the dog to stop chasing me.

I like the look of Kid Icarus, it's just the controls still worry me, not because I don't think the stylus controls won't work, it's because I'm left handed, I know I can probably just about get used to the controls, but it won't be the same.

I found that statement on the Nintendo E3 Network page for Kid Icarus:

The game's simple, intuitive play control has players hold the system in their left hand, while the right hand uses the stylus on the touch screen for targeting. Their left thumb on the Circle Pad controls Pit's movements, and the L Button fires ranged weapons and unleashes melee attacks. The controls are simple enough to be grasped quickly, but offer layers of depth and strategy for advanced maneuvers. A special control option for left-handed players is also being prepared.
It's still unknown how it's exactly going to work and if it's any good but it's a good sign that they're at least working on that option.

To make this not a completely off-topic post, I'd like to know what everyone is getting as pre-order bonus now. I saw so many different things so that I kinda lost track of what all the various stores offer.

I'll be getting a 3DS casing with the logo on it from Amazon Germany:

You can't really tell from that picture but it's not really high quality or anything that protects your 3DS extremely well. It's just really simple. I'm not disappointed though because it's a free extra and I don't have any case or bag for my 3DS yet so this should do. That guy here shows how it looks when you put your 3DS inside at the end of this video:

Wow, didn't know the soldier scene existed...disturbing! I've tried this on my copy (but only after going Adult) - so went back and nothing. Is it pre-adult only?

Yep, pre-adult only.

Only 5 days until I finally get my hands on this. Smilie

Wow, it's come round fast. I could easily just go pick up a 3DS and OOT next week :/ It's tempting...

It'll surely make your decision easier when I and other Zelda fans like Mush go around freaking out next week when it arrives. Smilie

Ah, dude. I'm so hyped about it. Even more so now that I know they've added new easter eggs. Smilie

I'm excited for OoT. But not going to shove up and buy it soon as release. Played that game too much as is. will get it just to play on handheld after awhile i suppose. Smilie

The best part. I get mine on Thursday as shopto are always early with their pre-orders Smilie The next best bit is that this is a new game for me, I've played OoT up to the fishes stomach and got no further. (yes, you may shoot me, but I didn't have an N64 and played various versions across many consoles)

I envy you. *glare*

If you pre-order from play.com you get a pretty cool case:

I'm exactly the same.

If I had money, I think I'd buy a 3DS next week.

I saw the money was taken earlier, but didn't expect it to be sent out today. Guess I can hope to have it tomorrow.

Also, I think Nintendo said something at E3 about a soundtrack CD from Club Nintendo for registering the game, or is that just in America?

Just looked. Apparently Europe to:

I really want that CD. I hope I get my copy early.

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that they aren't limited in Europe and you'll get one as long as you register it before the 30th June.

My copy got dispatched today meaning I'll have it tomorrow! WIN.

Man, I envy you guys. :/ I always have to wait till Monday after a game releases on Friday because I have to order it online to get it at all or at an reasonable price (yes, there are no real game stores ANYWHERE in my vicinity and certainly not ones that would sell Nintendo games) and because there are no deliveries on Saturday in my district I'm always screwed. Smilie I wish Amazon was a fan of sending stuff early too but sadly they're not.

Slowly walks off and silently continues QQing...

Our member of the week

Some lucky dogs who pre-ordered in a local shop where I live could already pick up their copy LAST WEEK ! I wish I had pre-ordered now Smilie.

What are your initial impressions so far?

I'm loving it. I can now see why there is so much love for the original. I'm up to (just passing) where I was before, I was doing Jabu-Jabu so wrong last time (to the point that I didn't realise I had to carry the Zora.... and therefore the whole dungeon makes more sense) its also better to get through considering everything is retextured. The 3D effect is really sweet, I have yet to misjudge a jump yet because of it. Its exactly the type of game that I need at the moment to purge me of all the FPS and fighters I've been playing.
If you've got a 3DS, in short, you need this.
