By Jorge Ba-oh 24.06.2008

Activision has let loose the latest edition of Guitar Hero into stores in the US this week bringing portable music to the DS.

The company has shipped On Tour to retailers in the US, complete with a the funky peripheral that locks onto the GBA slot. Players can rock out to Nirvana, OK Go, Blink182, Block Party, No Doubt and numerous other bands and artists. The "Guitar Grip" mimics a colourful fret board, whilst strumming is played out using the touch screen. For a duet on the move, players can join fellow On Tour owners for a wireless co-op experience on the move.

Guitar Hero: On Tour offers handheld gamers an all-new Guitar Hero experience letting them unleash their inner rock star anywhere, anytime. Utilizing the innovative Guitar Hero Guitar Grip peripheral and Guitar Hero pick-stylus, and taking full advantage of the unique voice and touch abilities of Nintendo DS, Guitar Hero: On Tour is going to again redefine how fans can experience music.
