Gameloft have partnered with Mattel to bring the hit card game Uno to multiple download platforms.
In 2009 both WiiWare and DSi accompany PSN, PSP, iPhone and iPod with an interactive version of the game. Digital Uno has already been popular on various online sites and instant messenger games, so the announcement doesn't come as much of a surprise. For those who haven't played the game, the objective is simple but fun - clear cards by matching up colours/numbers, and block fellow players using special command cards.
This agreement is the first step towards a long and successful relationship between Mattel, one of the world's premier toy companies and Gameloft, the global leader in video game development. UNO is one of the most recognized card games in the world and we are excited to extend it beyond mobile and onto a whole host of console executions.Michel Guillemot, president, Gameloft.
Gameloft is a one stop shop for quality video game development and they have firmly established their excellence in this industry for years. Gameloft's successful launch of UNO on the iPhone and iPod has given us tremendous confidence in their ability to continue to deliver our flagship card game to a new generation of players and UNO fans alike.
