WIN: Red Steel 2 Wii and MotionPlus

By Jorge Ba-oh 06.03.2010 14

Red Steel 2 Wii is slicing its way into stores later this month, and to celebrate we've teamed up with Ubisoft to offer you a chance to win a copy of the game and MotionPlus to swank off all your sword swiping moves and pistol tooting antics.

The Wii first-person shooter is set in a high tech metropolis buried within a fearsome desert, taking influences from both the Far East and Wild West. We take on the role of a friendly chap known as "The Swordsman", a silent protagonist who, as one of the last members of the Kusagari-clan, sets out to avenge his fallen comrades.

Red Steel 2 is one of Cubed3's most anticipated Wii games of 2010, and scored top marks in our recent hands-on.

To enter the competition answer the following question, leaving your username and email address.

Aside from a gun, what is our protagonist's other weapon of choice?

A.) Axe
B.) Katana
C.) Baseball Bat
D.) Nunchuck

Your profile says you are from Western Europe. Doesn't that mean you can take part in nearly all the competitions?

I would have liked to have entered this one Smilie

I saw WIN and rushed over here, and there's only one reason on this site to jump over to anything on this site that says WIN:.........To laugh at the hilarious options for the contest question!

I wonder if there'll be another ton of Guests flocking to this to get in on the action.

But yeah, can't wait to see the NUNCHUK finally get some action! It's about time somebody started using one as a weapon!

It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path.

Can we have a world wide contest one of these days, please? Smilie

The former top user was Keven! You'd probably give birth to yourself 1000 times over until you sprout wings to fly away into the fading sun, that or you'd just turn into a lesbian. Who knows @_@ - L, 12/06/09

Most competitions are USA residents only or UK only. Western Europe doesn't mean UK. I'm from Belgium, and there's virtually no Belgian video-game websites, and as such no competitions of that kind for us to enter.

Anf French websites ALWAYS restrict their competitions to France only, even though i'm 30 kms far from the border that's stupid XD.

But i guess it has more to do with the publishers proposing copies of games for competitions restricted to certains regions or countries than Cubed3's decision, right ?

Otherwise they would all be either worldwide, or UK only since, correct me if i'm wrong, it's mostly a UK based website.

Alright, enough with my life already Smilie.

I love this site so much :3 Never trashy game news and I can actually enter the competitions.

By trashy news i mean things like "CEO of some games company crashed his car today" or "teen stabs over ps3" or "this one guy thinks wii is going to fail, bases on nothing". Not going to name what site is crap like that though *choke-maxconsole-choke*.

Super awesome competition; best of luck to everyone!

Trying to think of a witty signature after 'Hacker-gate'...

    This is one great competition!

Finally a competition that's worth entering and I wish everybody good luck but mostly me. I just wish they would spice up the competition by adding an extra Wii-motion plus

Depends on the publisher and us really - most tend to focus on their country (so would 90% of the time be UK - some are able to ship to Europe too). Generally we have region specific as games wouldn't work in NTSC (or PAL if we're working with a US publisher) without the use of a Freeloader/Homebrew.

DS games we can be more flexible with, then again it's down to the publisher and whether we're allowed to open it up to other regions.

Thanks - we are offering a MotionPlus with the game for the winner, but an extra MotionPlus wouldn't be needed as it's single player.
