Earlier this week Nintendo slipped in a release date for the upcoming Wii Party, with a few tidbits revealed to retailers.
The Wii's parents have kept the project quiet, and a few new details have surfaced. Much like Mario Party there'll be around 80 mini games to enjoy using your Mii, including traditional games like Bingo, Roulette, and what Nintendo are dubbing "Living Party".
The feature is said to be the major selling point for Wii Party, says Nintendo President Satoru Iwata anyway - something that can only be done on Wii. HMV describes a few these "living" games to enjoy… in your living room:
- Wanwan Karuta: Each Wii remote, up to 4, plays back a different sound. Which one matches the animal on screen?
- Hide & Seek : Hide the controller somewhere in the room, with other players scavenging for it using sound from the Wii remote speaker. Hopefully not up one's bottom.
- Sensitive Bomb: Hold the Wii Remote as if it were highly explosive, kindly passing it round to other players without it exploding
