Ubisoft today announced a new entry in the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon series for Wii, complete with co-operative play.
In the Wii campaign you take on the role of Ghost soldiers Hibbard and Booth, who end up lost and separated from their team during the heat of battle in Moscow. The pair must fend for themselves, relying on the local militia and all their skills to make it through.
The main difference in gameplay is same-screen co-operative. Your team-mate can be either AI driven or, with the help of a second player, human controlled and swappable at any time. It doesn't look like there'll be online functionality this time round, but it might be tricky with both soldiers sharing the same screen space.
Ghost Recon Wii is designed with accessibility in mind, with Ubisoft hoping it will appeal to both core/traditional Ghost Recon fans and casual players wanting a slice of the action. There'll be 12 levels and online leaderboards.
