E311 | Kirby Anime Airing on German Nintendo Channel on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo of Germany have announced plans to air the 2001 Kirby anime series on the Nintendo Channel every fortnight.

Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, better known in Japan as Kirby of the Stars, will start to air on the channel at the end of June. To begin with four of the 100 episodes will be available to watch, with initial episodes replacing older ones every two weeks.

The series follows the story of Nintendo's pink puffball Kirby, as he battles King Dedede and the Nightmare Army. The show was localised in various countries, but suffered a fair bit of content taming in the North America release.

Would you like to see the Kirby anime series air on the Nintendo Channel in your region? Should Nintendo include more game-related shows/films?

I'd love that. I'd probably watch it! Wait, maybe I can here in the Netherlands?

It's the Nintendo Channel on the Wii, right?

Nice of them, though I'd rather watch it subbed with Japanese voices. I've been traumatized one too many times by outright horrible German/English Dubs so my motto for anime now pretty much is "Japanese with subs or GTFO!".Smilie

There are a few animes that have good dubs. Just have to look around for them.
