Wii U Gets Full Mass Effect 3 DLC and Ending on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Wii U owners entering the Mass Effect universe will receive a wealth of additional content on the disc, including the extended ending.

The original release came under fire from some fans with its marmite ending, however developer Bioware set to resolve this by including the extended ending on the disc, as well as DLC packs including the new multiplayer "back to Earth" feature, a new mode where players fend off hordes of enemies.

Mass Effect 3 is set to launch alongside the Wii U later this year.

Sounds good to me.. Smilie I might actually pick this up after all!

If I had the time, money and interest, I would buy ME1&2 on Steam and then play ME3 on WiiU.

But I'm not interested in the series.

This is often the problem with games for me too.

You are not alone. I am here with you. Though we're far apart...you're always in my heart. Love u!

Only right they do.

You should give it a chance. It's one of the best series this generation, in my opinion. Great story, fun gameplay. It's in my top 7 all-time. Smilie

Working like a fiend isn't very fun... and surprisingly isn't very fiendish either.

I had only a mild interest in the series, then my brother's friend let us borrow the first game. It really is worth at least a renting, I ended up loving the game. Like, a lot. A whole lot. And I'm hoping to borrow or buy ME2 and will definitely be getting this for Wii U.

You really should try it though. It's a lot of fun.

If I hadn't already sunk 90+ hours into this franchise I would pick it up.

If you liked the first one, you will love the second. Pretty much every detail has been improved over ME1. Also, semi-spoiler if you haven't already heard...

I'm glad you got a chance to try it. It's a great series.

I'm pretty sure I'd like it, that's not the problem. But with a job, my own house, several nice hobbies and still a ton of games to play... I won't add ME to the list.

It's just like somebody telling you riding horse is awesome and you should definitely try it. But you know it will cost you more than 80 hours and a lot of money. So you stick to the hobbies you already have!

I would prioratise Mass effect 2 over any game this generation with maybe the exception of Super mario galaxy 1 and 2. Its the best science fiction experience I have ever had next to the original Star wars movies.
I have a hard time imagining Mass effect 3 being as good. But one can always hope.
Unfortunately I lost my Mass effect 2 save files so I'll proably end up playing Mass effect 3 on the Wii u anyway. Especially if it includes an extended ending.

I'll have to research which version to get.

I started playing the first one on PC this week and it's absolutely amazing. I'm really terrible at playing games with keyboard and mouse compared to controller, but even in spite of that it's one of the most addicting and enjoyable games I can recall.

And after hearing that the first game is "just okay" from a lot of players, and that the real action starts with 2, I'm extremely excited for what 2 and 3 have to offer.

TL;DR I was planning on getting them both for PS3, but I"ll have to investigate the differences between the PS3 and Wii U versions now.
