GungHo Grasshopper Merger Gives Suda More Creative Freedom on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The man behind the No More Heroes series, Suda51, is delighted by the recent Grasshopper acquisition by GungHo.

Suda51's studio merged with fellow Japanese video game studio GungHo Group as a single company a là square Enix or Namco Bandai. Suda51 is happy with the move as he "can focus more on the creative side", he said in an interview with Polygon. "GungHo is providing me with complete creative freedom. I've worked with multiple publishers in the past, but I don't think there are many presidents out there who will provide such freedom to their development team."

It "will be a good thing for Grasshopper", he concluded.

The move more likely see more bizarre ideas spawning from Suda and his team, in line with the quirky Killer 7 and No More Heroes.

This is wonderful news....can't wait for No More Heroes 3 but I hope that series stays Nintendo exclusive. Nintendo needs more titles like these to themselves to help boost sales for the U.

It is not wise to speak on subjects you do not know all facts about, nor is it smart to judge a game based on looks alone. PSN: Nintendo_Gamer 3DS: 4296-3029-7422
