Tales of Wii U Possible with Greater Audience on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

In another interview with Namco Bandai producer Hideo Baba on the future of the Tales series, he proposed Wii U development eventually.

Earlier this month he confirmed that the studio doesn't have any "development plans to make any Tales of games for the Wii U", but it seems this may certainly change with Baba highlighting that "it's a great system" and "if it becomes more and more successful in the future that's a console we would like to tap eventually".

So when the Wii U takes off, there will likely be a Tales of title eventually - it's a matter of time and audience; "Ultimately it becomes a question of, 'What consoles do our fans have?'

Would you like a new Tales of game or port for the Nintendo Wii U?

Please please please make a Tales game for the Wii U

If we do see a TALES game on the WiiU it probably won't be until the latter half of the console's cycle because the system is still in its early phase.  But if Nintendo can manage to seduce JRPG gamers to their system (and they're taking good steps to do so), I'm sure we'll see it on WiiU.  Namco is friendly with Nintendo and they're not opposed to WiiU development at all.  So yeah, I say in the future (note:  late, not near) we'll see it.  Baba never said "never", just "not at this time."
