StreetPass Relay Implemented in Latest Nintendo 3DS Firmware Update on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Nintendo have added an update to the Nintendo 3DS this week which implements the StreetPass Replay feature.

As announced last month, Nintendo aim to capatalise on the many Nintendo Zone Wi-Fi access points around the globe by letting 3DS owners exchange StreetPass data in a relay format. The new system would allow one person to visit a Nintendo Zone location, deposit his/her Mii data and the next person to come along and pick up that StreetPass data without ever physically meeting.

Alongside the implementation of StreetPass relay, Nintendo have also slipped in the usual array of minor adjustments and improvements to system stability. I, however, am still having difficulty balancing the 3DS on my nose.

Have you updated your system yet to version 6.2.0?

D'oh, I thought they did this weeks ago! I got 2 Streetpass hits in town and that had never happened before. But when I tried the hotspots, I didn't get anything...

Will try it tomorrow and see if it works! Smilie
