Nintendo fans have been creative when it comes to customising Animal Crossing: New Leaf, with one recreating a portion of The Legend of Zelda.

Equally popular portable game The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is known for its dream-like, peaceful and slightly bizarre landscape, so how about bringing the 8-bit Game Boy design to the world of Animal Crossing?

One New Leaf player used various custom patterns to design Mabe Village on the 3DS.

That is amazing! I've never thought to turn my whole village into an 8-bit world like that.
I didn't even realize we had enough texture tiles available for customization to even do that!
