Square Enix: Chrono Trigger Sequel Still Unlikely on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Chrono Trigger, one of the more popular Square RPGs, will have a tough time spawning another sequel according to various Square Enix members.

Despite the franchise's popularity and appeal, another entry in the Chrono franchise seems fairly unlikely for the time being. A number of staff members would need to be contacted in order for a project to go ahead, including Yuji Horii, Dragon Quest producer and famed developer Hironobu Sakaguchi.

Because of this both Kitase Yoshinori and Yoshida Naoki feel that it would be tough to dive back into the series at this time.

Would you want to a see a sequel or full-on remake for Chrono Trigger?
