Hoping somebody can help me with this.

I've ordered the new 3ds majoras mask one which comes with Majoras mask installed.

The instructions on that video tell you to erase the content on the micro sd card.

Won't that erase my copy of Majoras Mask?

The Majora's Mask 3DS doesn't come with Majora's Mask installed.

If it did, and for consoles that do (like the Monster Hunter one), I think you would do the system transfer, it would wipe the game from your console, but then you would just go to the eShop and re-download it for free.

The EU MM3D n3DS has the game pre-installed. Guess it's different in US.

Oops, my bad. Didn't know that.

Yeah, everywhere I've seen says you just do a system transfer, then once it's done you go to the eShop on the new device and it'll let you re-download the game.

Hi - yep, encountered the same thing with my new one.  Such a crazy crack-handed method!!

MM is indeed on the included SD card and when you do the transfer, everything is wiped - including the game.  I had bought a new 32GB microSD as I only just realised the cards were different.  I did the transfer but then had to re download all the games again ... took 2 hours!!  For some reason, the transfer did not move anything from the card in my old 3DS ... Oh, well.

Cheers,
