Game Freak Acquire Smartphone Developer on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Mobile developer Koa Games has been acquired by Game Freak.

The studio behind the main series of Pokémon games recently stepped into save flailing studio Koa Games. The fellow Japanese studio, who had worked on games like Erunea Kingdom, Legendary Legion and Road Roller, had been going through some financial issues so Game Freak recently bought them out.

The company, however, will be disbanded and staff absorbed into Game Freak.

Should Game Freak work on more mobile titles given the addition of experienced staff?
