Instead, there are a plethora of boxes around the world, and in honour of the 30th anniversary celebrations of The Legend of Zelda, Cubed3 has gathered 20 of the best cover arts for the numerous iterations bestowed upon the world of the past 30 years.

A Link Between Worlds is my favorite cover here by a big margin I think.

Last update; Mice,Plumbers,Animatronics and Airbenders. We also have the socials; Facebook & G+

The Japanese cover is so much better than the other territories. I suppose I should have actually put "A Link to the Past 2" since that's the Japanese name, isn't it?

Although the adult (and teenager) part of me will disagree, the ten-year-old part of me will always be in love with the cover of the very first Zelda (EU) cover.

Can't a fella drink in peace?

Luckily, ALBW was a reversible cover here, so you can switch to the JP art too Smilie

I like the NES originals. I sorta miss their more unique and simplistic style.

I prefer the special edition Skyward Sword one to the normal one:

Probably because I dislike both Ghirahim and Fi, but the gold and Link on his own looks so much better imo.

I don't know about TP HD either, because they've weirdly thrown two major spoilers on there... Although I guess at this point it's more common knowledge amongst Zelda fans in the same way we all know Sheik is Zelda (oops!).

My other faves would be OoT 3D:

And MM 3D and OoT EU. I have a real soft spot for plain logo boxes, like the FF and older Zelda games, and just think the gold on black on the original OoT box is all kinds of epic. Plain logo boxes have always been signs of awesome epic games for me.

Smilie It's the opposite for me - I always think that the plain/logo-style boxes just show a lack of invention and effort. I love the colourful, pastel art approach of both that Korean Skyward Sword box and the US TP HD cover Smilie

They're great. I like character-full covers if they're presented well, like MM3D and WWHD. Think I just like TP and SS ones a little less because of the characters on them.

Prefer the original GC one:

Cool art and no spoilers or lame characters lol.

Ooo, hard choices! There's a lot of really nice Zelda box art. I personally love The Wind Waker HD's European art. It's really colourful and I love the art style. I also like Twilight Princess HD's box art, but the European version again! Zelda games always have great box art. I think one of my least favourite though is Skyward Swords. Man, what is it about that game? Everything was so lackluster about it, even down to its box art.

My limited edition copy of The Wind Waker on GC had different art to the one shown here. Mine was gold and came in a golden plastic casing.

Yep, this one Marzy:

The one in the article is just a special sleeve that only came with pre-orders from HMV. Another one with spoilers on the front lol.

My own Wind Waker limited edition box had the golden art, but the box was not gold. It was black.

I tend to prefer logo boxarts as well, old school Final Fantasy style. The ones for Link's Awakening and A Link to the Past are very emblematic of Zelda for me.

Amen to that, Rudy. The EU LADX one is all sorts of awesome.

I'm feeling the South Korea Twilight Princess cover art, its amazing. Although my favorite would have to go to Skyward Sword Cover art. A powerful cover art that realy embodies the game.
