Super Monkey Ball: Banana Crazy
Insider info comes to light regarding yet more support from SEGA...

Game Data

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Crazy will be making an appearance on GameCube, according to the more than reliable French gaming site New Technix. The website claims that the information was revealed to them by a Sega insider, who has been a constant source of information to them. The man on the inside apparently said the title would have a heavy emphasis on multiplayer features with a LAN feature being very likely. Apparently, he also revealed that the graphics have been given a face-lift, and that the title is set to be release in early 2004. It was also said that the title will not be appearing at E3, but will be shown to the public in the next few months.

The insider is also said to have revealed a second title in the form of an RPG entitled Knight Knight. If the story is to be believed it is to be developed by Overworks studio, and the insider added that the title would be in a similar style to Skies of Arcadia. As of yet we have no information as to which platform this will appear on, or when we will see this title.

Surely this sort of support for the GameCube can only be a good thing, and now that SEGA is finding a neiche in the GameCube market hopefully it will be able to bring in more games and more ideas and support the Japanese console better. With some more work from SEGA we would see some quality titles in areas that the GameCube is lacking and the pulling power of the company is huge and would no doubt be of huge aid to Nintendo if they could get them on board. We will have more news on this soon…
