Nintendo Media | Metal Slug 1 GBA Trailer

Fresh footage from the upcoming GBA port of Metal Slug 1 has surfaced on the net illustrating fast paced action for your handheld.

Metal Slug is a franchise originally created for the Neo-Geo and arcade platforms that have a big focus for 2D gun tooting action. The franchise revolves around the battles between two armies, the Rebellion and the Regular Army in the distance future of 2028.

SNK previously announced that the first four titles in the series will be ported to the GBA this year, with the first being released in September 2006.

Looks tasty, never played a MS game before but I love the Contra series and this looks equaly awesome... might have to look into it!

Hehe, I've only played MS in the arcades and I think on my mate's Neo-Geo ageees ago. Very fast paced and pretty exciting game though not usually my cuppa tea!

That's also being ported to the GBA in the future too - hehe Smilie

May have been better to have it on the DS for a smoother ride but I guess GBA allows for both.

Yeah, and theres always hope they'll sign up to the Virtual Console, I'm sure it'd be worth their while, if my memory serves me correctly, the Neo Geo, (or New World) was also host to the best version of R-Type too, gimme gimme gimme!
