Bollocks all Codemasters support with the GameCube, so atleast they've actally got a game in the works for Wii.

It's been a while since I've played MicroMachines. I do remember having some serious fun on the multiplayer thoughSmilie

I've played Micro Machines v4 on the PS2 and it's great fun...but really I think it's better suited to the handheld format, so can't wait to get a go on the DS version next month.

It IS pleasing that Heatseeker has already been announced. Perhaps we'll finally see Colin McRae Rally on a Nintendo format...

Sounds to me like Micro Machines will make an appearance in some form. I like the idea of pushing forward for a speed boost. Maybe pulling away from the screen could slow you down as well, to balance it out.

TEAM!

It's going to be shit and you jolly well know it.

I love MicroMachines, the MD original remains to be a classic favourite, every now & then I'll go back to play it. The multiplayer for this is single card, correct? If so then I definitely will be getting it, if I didn't have a brother that I could paly it with all the time, then I wouldn't get it for the 1 player mode. Multiplayer is great... but so is one player Smilie

It's great it is! Smilie

Micro Machines Wii using Wi-Fi internet for multi-player? Now THAT sounds like a good idea... Smilie

Micor Machines on the N64 fucking rocked.

Mike Gee of iZINE said, "...The Verve, as he [Richard Ashcroft] promised, had become the greatest band in the world. Most of the critics agreed with him. Most paid due homage. The Verve were no longer the question mark or the clich. They were the statement and the definition."

I think you'll tend to find that someone, somewhere has played Micro Machines in some form or other...and the reaction is nearly always the same - bloody brilliant fun, especially in multiplayer!

Shame MMv4 on PS2 and PSP sunk without a trace in the UK. Hopefully the DS version will ride the wave of success next month...

Nice interview Adam. Can't wait to get a hold of Micro Machines on DS, used to love it on Mega Drive and PC. Heatseeker looks quite good from the little we've soon so far, too.

It's good as well that Codemasters used an out-sourcing dev team that has previously worked on a lot of older MM games. Keeps the feel more authentic...

And I agree, Heatseeker is a welcome addition to the Wii line-up. May give Namco's Ace Combat team a nudge!

Yeah, MM didn't really do much on PS2 and PSP in the UK did it...I think with a bit of crafty advertising and maybe a few "limited offers" from retailers, MM could do surprisingly well on DS.

*Awaits TOCA...*

Well if Zoo Tycoon DS can stay in the top 40 at around the position 30 with absolutely no advertising i am sure that MM could do it

True, a bit of clever marketing and the DS version could stick around the Top 40 for quite a while.

I'd love to see Codemasters stick classic MM titles on the Virtual Console. That question was omitted by the team...which seems rather ominous to me, so perhaps there's something in the offing! Smilie

I played Micro Machines a loooong time ago on PC. Hell, even with keyboard-control it was fun as hell in Multiplayer!
Looking forward to (possible) both versions!

Codemasters sound very kind and interested in Wii. I hope they join the club. Would be an addition to the wave of 'minigames-on-Wii' at the moment...

I think Nintendo stated, that Wii should be adressed with not article at all (the). If you have to use sex for Wii it would be feminine, is that right? In German you should use feminine article ('die') if you have to use one at all. I think dropping articles works most of the times and sounds good.

I find your lack of faith disturbing!

MM on the VC FTW! SmilieSmilie OMGLOLKTHNX!!

He;s pretty much right. I'm one of the doubters that's turned a new leaf. I actually think the PS3 would be pretty cool. It's just the company Sony pisses me off...if only they made a new company...or a branch and released it under a different name. Just seeing the Sony name on it....ERRR!!!Smilie

MM on the VC would be brilliant, & you could do four player without a multitab or nothin'! Smilie
