Dragon Quest Remakes on DS, New Monsters on the Way
The Square Enix Party 2007 has now finished and all Nintendo fans really received from the company was confirmation of Final Fantasy IV being remade in 3D on the DS, plus a Chocobo Wii RPG. However, Yuji Hori went on record with some interesting words.

Square Enix's New Wii-Exclusive RPG [ New Info ]
When Square Enix reveals a new game, people tend to pay quite a lot of attention to what it is. When that game turns out to be an exclusive entry into a spin-off series from the Final Fantasy world, it surely cannot get much better, right?

Wanko Dogs Come on DS
Quick News: According to Nintendo Fanboy, animal lovers are in for a treat with a dog themed puzzle game brought to the DS by Hudson. Kyou no Wanko is based on a Japanese morning TV spot, allowing players to solve some adorable doggy puzzles by touching up their DSs. One to look out for on July 26th.

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass Details
The latest edition of Famitsu details new information from the upcoming Legend of Zelda game for DS, Phantom Hourglass - soon approaching a much anticipated release in the land of the rising sun.

Rock Band for Wii, Plus Download Songs Online
Update - Further evidence..



Quick News - The new project from EA/MTV/Harmonix, Rock Band, is currently only for PS3 and Xbox 360, but when asked about a possible Wii version Alex Rigopulos stated 'Absolutely' and also mentioned it would eventually be reworked for all major formats.

Bungie Answers Shigeru Miyamoto
You may have latched on to the news this week when in an interview, Miyamoto claimed that he himself could have designed Halo, and that he simply doesn't wish to. Well, in a very recent interview conducted by Joystiq, a perhaps, slightly miffed Frank O'Connor of Bungie fame responded to the designer's claim.

Famitsu Loves Ouendan 2, Plus Official Website...
Quick News - With the sequel to Ouendan / Elite Beat Agents from iNiS on DS due for release on 17th May in Japan, Famitsu has given 'Moero! Nekketsu Rhythm Tamashii: Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan 2' a score of 9 / 9 / 8 / 8 - (34/40). The game's official website is also live now:

  • Sega and Nintendo Team Up in the Arcades
    Quick News - Rhythm Tengoku on GBA, from the makers of WarioWare, was a massive success in Japan last year, but failed to get a Western translation. Now it is back in arcade format thanks to Nintendo teaming up with Sega. Whether this version gets translated, though, is still unknown. Check out the official website and an scan below:

  • Brain Training 2 Set to Explode in Europe
    Quick News - If reports are to be believed, the successor to Nintendo's Brain Training on DS will hit Europe either at the end of June or sometime in July. With it already accruing over 4 million sales in Japan alone, hope are high for the Dr. Kawashima-led product here.

    Hudson Brings Spirited Ninja Action to Wii
    Quick News: Hudson have announced a TG16 addition to the US Monday Virtual Console line-up. The game features 7 unique chapters and two gameplay options: one-hit or progressive player deaths.



    Ninja Spirit hits VC on Monday, May 14th for 600 Wii points.

    Animal Crossing DS Breeds Foul Mouth Fowl
    A protective parent has run riot in a bid to stop Nintendo and their evil foul mouth critters in Animal Crossing influencing her daughter with shiny blue-coloured swears.

    Tecmo's Got Nintendo on the Brain - New Wii Exclusive and More
    Tecmo, makers of such popular franchises as Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, recently held an event pleasingly titled 'Tecmo's Nite Out 2007', where they've been lathering up their Wii and DS development tools, producing a couple exclusives for our favourite duo.

    Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars - Wii Edition?
    You've surely heard of the Command and Conquer series, one of EA's flagship franchises. A former PC exclusive, the game recently made the transition to console territory for the Xbox 360, in the form of Command and Conquer: Tiberium Wars. Now, the company have commented on the possibilities of a Wii iteration.

    Namco Bandai Bringing 37 to Wii
    Quick News - In Namco Bandai's latest financial report, it states slow sales mean in the current fiscal year it will release 23 games for PS3 and 24 for Xbox 360. However, a massive 37 will go to Nintendo's Wii!

    Dynamite Set to Rock DS
    Quick News - Crave Entertainment has announced plans to bring the movie Napoleon Dynamite to Nintendo DS, as well as PSP. It will feature characters such as Kip, Pedro, Uncle Rico, Tina the Llama, and the title's namesake himself.

    Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Dated
    Quick News - Square Enix has revealed its exclusive action RPG for DS, Final Fantasy Crytal Chronicles: Ring of Fates, will hit Japan on 23rd August, 2007. No Western dates were announced, though, although a stronger solo player mode has been stressed.

    Quick News - Whilst Square Enix has unveiled ports of Star Ocean and its sequel, both for PSP, confirmation of a tri-Ace developed Star Ocean 4 has emerged, although the next-gen platform is still unknown.
