Ive been looking forward to Tales of Innocence, im glad to see it scored so high. Ive been a bit more reserved about No More Heroes because i didnt really get in to Killer 7. But i might check it out now it got such a good score.Linkyshinks im so jealous of you going to Japan. Ive always wanted to go.
My elder brother is married to a Japanese girl, as a consequence I have been two times so far. I love it and fully intend on going back as much as possible when it's OK for me to stay. It's all very expensive in Tokyo, if you think London is bad you are in for a shock. Anyone can go and make a little money if they have some skills in the English language to impart, there are a few agencies that can find work for Brits who wish to stay and work.
If you ever go here is a guide to getting to Nintendo
Anti-Microsoft Hippy Nerd Repellent Wire (snags on flairs)
Anti-Sony walls
Nintendo fans bow to the Pika, Sony spies fuck off!.
Kenji the old beggar lives here. Miyamoto always stops by on his bycycle to say hello every morning. He also gives him some food parcels.
Nintendo's main office sits across from a rice paddy . The company is tucked away in the Kyoto suburbs. For some, taking this trip might be a pilgrimage. Others, it might satisfy some curiosity.
Directions:
From JR Kyoto Station take the JR Nara Line and get off at Tofukuji Station. It's the next station, and the ticket should cost only 140-150 yen.
At Tofukuji Station, follow the signs for the Keihan Line. A series of corridors and winding staircases take you directly towards the platform. Buy a 150-160 yen ticket and get off at Tobakaidou Station. It's directly after Tofukuji on the Keihan Line.
Exit Tobakaidou Station and turn right. There will be a coffee shop, where you should hang another right and head down a same residential street. Follow the street until you reach a white wall. This is the company's research center.
Double back to the coffee shop and turn right again, moving in the opposite direction of the station. Head down the street, crossing a small bridge. Continue walking straight on this street (called Jyuujou Dori).
Go straight several blocks until you come to the other bridge, say hello to the beggar upon the bridge, he has been there for thirty years blessing people. Give him 5Yen and cross. If your really nice you will have a food parcel of rice ready for him.
Keep heading down the street until you come to a pachinko parlor (avoid, Yakuza run). Turn left. The name of this small street is "Shin Machi Dori."
Pass a ramshackle karaoke parlor and several run-down apartment buildings. On your left, you will see a large, white building, Nintendo's HQ.
Go one day if you ever visit Japan.
