Nintendo Wii Media | Smash Update: Sheik Confirmed for Brawl

Today's mid-week update on the Official Smash Bros. website reveals the re-appearance of the much sought-after Shiek, complete with a hint of Twilight in her eyes.

Use Zelda's down special move to transform into Sheik! Once you do so, you'll have access to a new character completely unique from Zelda.

Sheik doesn't appear in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, but we based her model on a design that was drafted up during the development of that game.

Her special moves:

Standard Special Move - Needle Storm

Side Special Move - Chain

Up Special Move - Vanish

Down Special Move - Transform

Final Smash - Light Arrow

With this update, all the characters have their full special move sets and Final Smashes updated to their respectful pages, and not to mention the grand revelation:

his moveset has already been revealed. If Wolf Link is playable he'll be a separate character.

Personally I hope he's not playable. He beats Dr Mario but I never liked Wolf Link much...

which sounds it would make him a totally different character than Link in Brawl Smilie I don't really care If he's in or not. I'm just sick of the release date being played with Smilie

EDIT: I forgot to correct you. Clones have ALL the same moves as their counterparts they only vary in speed, size, and strength.

I can only hope, as he is the only one I can go full out with. Smilie

I can also only hope that they keep him relatively the same, time to pray to the Smash gods for that miracle.

This is good though, Sheik looks pretty much the same as before, the only friend of mine that can give me a challenge uses Sheik. If she weren't in it, he wouldn't play, so in a different way, I am glad she's in.

Clone characters are gonna be pretty much eradicated from Brawl anyway, I can't imagine why anyone would want them. We could end up with twice the number of original characters than in Melee.

No, Sheik was never supposed to be a "he", just a female disguised as a male, or even mistaken as a male. Sheik's gender was never "confirmed" in OoT, just people thinking she was male from her appearance. And in Melee and Brawl Sheik is called a "she" so yes, Sheik is a woman, and it's been made more obvious and realistic in her TP design.

EDIT: Mate, the game has been delayed, you need to accept it.

Besides, you won't be "owning" many of us on C3 here for ages, since most of us are European and won't have the game for another 5 months. OMGYAY Smilie

Zelda got trained by Impa into the sheikah's techniques allowing her to change her appearance into a male. Impa knew Ganondorf would be after them so she disguised Zelda as a male to hide her whereabouts.

However, this TP model looks like a girl to me Smilie .

Arguably, the manga isn't canonical, so that argument doesn't really make a huge impact. And in OoT, Zelda changes her appearance using Sheikah magic, in the magic she changes her gender entirely and gets memory modification for a certain amount of time (purposefully)
