What is Glass to the Wall?

The Cubed3 Nintendo Podcast has a new look, name, and location! Glass to the Wall focuses on all aspects of the gaming industry and is aired online each week. Yes, that's right! No longer limited to just being right here, listeners can tune into Turquoise Radio every Thursday at 11pm GMT / 6pm EST or just catch the repeat show on Sundays 4am GMT / Saturdays 11pm EST.

Can I download the episodes?

Yes, of course! A week after the repeat show has aired on Turquoise Radio, readers will be able to come right here and download or stream the show.

What was in Glass to the Wall - Episode 05, though?

Well, since you asked so nicely, here is a brief breakdown:

00:01:02-00:03:32 - Host Adam Riley introduces this special show that focuses on Heroes of Ruin for the Nintendo 3DS.
00:03:33-00:13:11 - Highlights from the Cubed3 Heroes of Ruin 3DS review.
00:14:09-00:26:18 - Special interview about Square Enix and n-Space's ambitious game with answers from Liam 'Mush' Cook, voiced by Jorge 'JB' Ba-oh in his stead. Were the delays enough to kill all hype? Did the final game live up to expectations set by the demo?
00:26:43-00:30:10 - Thoughts on the game after launch - were the flaws enough to spoil the experience? Discussion about the presentation.
00:30:11-00:31:23 - The ambitious online multiplayer plans, the fantastic drop-in, drop-out options.
00:31:40-00:35:19 - Where did it fall down the most? Was more development time required? The core concept was impressive, and there are redeeming features that could have been improved upon. Did support for the game dry up due to low sales?
00:35:42-00:46:32 - Discussion about voice acting, with some crazy voices included, with strange impressions by Adam! Dungeon backgrounds and enemies should have been made more varied. Online challenges - how varied were they?
00:46:44-00:50:23 - Nintendo's efforts to promote Heroes of Ruin in Europe - were they up to scratch to promote Square Enix's product?
00:51:03-00:52:56 - What should be done if a Heroes of Ruin II is made?
00:53:30-00:55:00 - Reminder of the show times, and outro jingles!

As a result of the Heroes of Ruin activity on Cubed3 recently, n-Space is set to answer some of Cubed3's questions for an interview very soon. Stay tuned Smilie

Having a listen now - good stuff so far. I haven't really followed Heroes of Ruin, so nice to get some insight.

Mush, your voice is amazing.

It's a shame it wasn't actually my voice. Smilie Jb put on a voice for this episode. Smilie

Yeah, Liam wasn't available and Jorge helped out with a mixture of a bad cold and funky voice Smilie

I just got it confirmed that Dan O'Leary is sorting out the interview himself, and is hoping to get the answers back within a week or so. Busy guy, but clearly happy to talk about his company's creation - I always like that sort of attitude, as opposed to some Japanese diva developers who are always too busy!

Hahah, I must have missed the bit that said it was jb! XD Great episode, can't wait for episode 6. Smilie

Actually, I may not have mentioned it in the show...I think I just mention it was a review by Liam and then quizzing him...hmm...ah well, the real Liam will be in next week's show, reading out his MonHun 3 review.

As for the archived edition of Episode 06, technically I should have posted that yesterday, but since I only just got round to posting the Heroes of Ruin one, I thought I'd give that some space Smilie

I've not archived anything beyond Episode 03 of my other Turquoise Radio show, The Hour Father! Just not enough time in the day, it seems Smilie
