Kid Icarus Stage Revealed for Next Smash Bros on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The latest update on the Super Smash Bros. Miiverse page reveals what appears to be a Kid Icarus stage.

The new snap depicts a statue of the Goddess of Light from Kid Icarus: Uprising, Palutena, wielding her sword and staff. "She's watching over the arena" said director Masahiro Sakurai in the picture's caption, potentially teasing the rumoured appearance of Palutena in the new games.

This stage is interesting as it doesn't follow the trend of stages for the Wii U being based off of console games and stages for the 3DS being based off of handheld games.

Even though Kid Icarus started out as a console game, so far everything Kid Icarus related in this game has been from the 3DS version.
