Brawl Offline with 8 Player Super Smash Bros. for Wii U on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

The rumoured 8-Player Smash mode has been confirmed for the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo showcased a vast number of new and returning features for the latest home-console edition of Super Smash Bros., with one of the highlights being a frantic special mode to up the ante. Instead of the usual four player affair, Nintendo are now letting up to eight players duke it out on expanded stages like Palutena's Temple, Temple (from Super Smash Bros. Melee) and Big Battlefield.

Holy crap that's just a whole other dimension of smash! This literally changes everything from strategy to the way the game is played!

PURE INSANITY kinda reminds me of the 8 player Mario kart on Game cube or 8 players or was it more on Halo??? Anyhow this is really a phenominal feet .Nintendo still king of what we call couch co op. But for the new generation i guess its good to have online too. I know i will be gettin my who family to play and friends plus the amount of the controller options yet again PURE INSANITY ( THE 3DS AS A CONTROLLER !!!???)

I am fairly certain Double Dash had an 8 player LAN set up. Not that I know anyone who had an adapter or used it.

Its ta going to be so crazy though, I wish I had 7 other friends who were good "smashers"!
