Squids in Splatoon Can't Handle Water

Squids in Splatoon Can

Splatoon, Nintendo's upcoming third-person shooter, made quite a splash when it was announced at E3 last year. The game sets itself apart from other genre games by featuring anthropomorphic squids shooting ink, with the main objective being to paint the arena with colours.

However, it seems the squids in Splatoon aren't like the squids we know and love in the real world. The game's official Twitter has posted several pictures detailing what happens when the playable characters, called Inklings, come into contact with natural water. The short version: They simply dissolve.

Splatoon is expected to release sometime in 2015, exclusively for Wii U.

Squids that die in the water? What were they inking?!

Looking forward to this one.Unfortunately it seems that squids suffer the same fate as some water fearing Pikmin. Maybe, some Squid have the ability to sink or swim.
