Nintendo News | Exchange Stars for Wii Points

Nintendo of Europe website has relaunched with the service now offering them much sought after Star points to Wii points conversions.

The website (still inaccessible for some), details the exchange at a rate of 4 stars to 1 Wii point. Points can be exchanged for 100, 200, 500 and 1000 Wii Points. For example, for 1000 Wii points, players must exchange 4,000 star points.

    good news for me. For every game my mum gets for my sister (DS and Wii) she sends me the points. Combined with my points and it plain sailing.

    Gona back to the "coming soon" page now, guess it wasn't ready just yet. Hopefully it'll be back up later, or sometime tomorrow. Good news, conversion isn't *that* bad either.

    I have 17,000 and counting, I still have another 1000 to add, But there is no way I would spend it on that tacky statue Smilie. It's all being spent on Wii Points.

    * Wrong!, you do not lose all your stars, only those accumulated prior to the deadline. Give me 5 stars please I was right all along Smilie.

    Love the new site, very clean looking and easy to browse on using the Wii, just what I have always wanted.

    Some nice initial products are up, there should be some cool stuff in time for Christmas. Me likes the Mario Game Shelf and the MKs. It seems as though they are bringing us the same Hori products from Japan which is fantastic news for what products will come eventually Smilie.

    Both sites keep opening and closing, I say be patient and it will be up and running tomorrow for sure.

    I managed to credit my account with another 1250 VIP stars but I did not buy anything. I am looking to buy 3000 Wii Points and the Club Nintendo Game-holder. I already own that Hori DS card case, mine is white though.

    I would like to get one of those Mario Karts when I next have enough points (Mario). It's a bloody shame that Wii record bag has gone, I would have snapped that up immediately, how the hell can it be sold out anyway?. I thought ONM gave those away as prizes, or was that Ngamer.

    Understandable for the higher conversion rates.

    If it was any lower, imagine how many would use more time on the website getting points, rather than buying them in the shops. Then technically the VC games would be free, and Nintendo would get nothing out of it. Not a problem for them, but the third parties...Smilie

    Yeah it's perfectly understandable, and it would be a problem for Nintendo, giving away free games is not the business they are in Smilie.

    ZSimon what were you expecting them to turn one of their biggest sources of revenue into a free game service Smilie. 4:1 is what many had expected before this so I cannot understand why you are surprised.

    What's the situation in Japan?, when you find out let us know.

    The Mario game rack is the shiz, I saw that on the Japanese site and wanted it badly then. The only other things I would buy is a Mario/Luigi Mk and a Ninty cap, but I would have loved that bag for 6000.

    ZSimon, do you still want those points?. Tingle will be having a massive sale this Christmas Smilie.

    Personally I may not want any of the extras. I'll see, but I prolly have absolutely tons of Stars. Smilie

    Yep, it's working a treat now, but don't expect the Wii Points up until tomorrrow, or possibly when we get the update. That could be Monday. You can expect your VC game hopefully after this update also, that goes for DSpine also.
