Secret Bases for Pokémon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire on Nintendo gaming news, videos and discussion

Fancy creating a private hideaway in the upcoming Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire remakes? It's possible.

Nintendo have announced a new feature for the 3DS remakes, which will allow trainers to build and customise their own personal space called "Secret Bases". These can then be shared with fellow players using StreetPass or through specific QR codes.

Those who visit a Secret Base are dubbed "Secret Pals", with the number of recruits leading to special skills. These trainers can battle, interact and even help raise Pokémon levels or with hatching Pokémon eggs. Interestingly, these bases also contain flags to be captured. The more flags collected, the higher the rank earned, which will then improves the skills of player's Secret Pals.
